This song is about her suddenly waking up in the bathtub, and all the mirrors are gone. She finnally finds the place of all the mirrors, and when she does, she cant see her reflection(and no, shes not a vampire!). Than it shows the tombstone part. This is what it means: She fell asleep in the bathtub and drowned.

I agree they are being stupid..but I don't think this song is about her drowning in a bathtub either. It's symbolic. It's deeper than that. It's about "Jane" letting him in but not letting him get close, and he can't figure out why. "As in somethings getting in the way" He's getting angry "Somethings just about to break" But he still loves her & is trying to figure out where he belongs in her life. "I still try to find my place in the diary of Jane"
